1992年發行這張單曲，並收錄在第一張專輯《Pablo Honey》，單曲發行時並未在排行榜上獲得成功，但隨著1993年專輯發行，這首單曲成了當時全球熱播；之後的幾年團員們曾因變得有些厭倦這首歌而短暫停止表演這首曲目。

根據貝斯手Colin Greenwood的描述，Thom Torke是在1980年代就讀艾希特大學時寫下這首歌；吉他手Jonny Greenwood則表示這首歌的靈感來自於一位Yorke當時在追蹤的女孩，並意外地發現她有來看Radiohead的演出。




在1992年，在為第一張專輯練唱時Radiohead無意間彈奏了這首曲目"Creep"，Yorke開玩笑地形容這是一首"Scott Walker風格的歌"，製作人Sean Slade與Paul Q. Kolderie誤以為指的是這首歌是翻唱。在經過幾次錄製其他的歌曲失敗後，製作人S與K建議他們在彈奏一次"Creep"，他們僅錄製一次就成功，並在表演完立刻獲得所有在場人的熱烈掌聲。在電台總司令向K確定這首歌為原創歌曲，K告訴EMI這是電台總司令的第一張單曲。儘管錄製只有微小的調整（overdubs），但電台總司令並不打算發行那個版本，這讓製作人有些失望。

The version issued for radio play replaces the line "so fucking special" with "so very special". Radiohead worried that issuing a censored version would be selling out, but decided it was acceptable since their idols Sonic Youth had done the same thing; nonetheless, Jonny Greenwood noted the British press "weren't impressed".[3] During the recording session for the censored lyrics, Kolderie convinced Yorke to rewrite the first verse, telling him he thought Yorke could do better.[7]

The middle eight originally featured a guitar solo from Jonny Greenwood. When guitarist Ed O'Brien pointed out that the chord progression was the same as "The Air That I Breathe", a 1972 song by the Hollies, Yorke wrote a new middle eight, copying that song's vocal melody. According to Greenwood, "It was funny to us in a way, sort of feeding something like that into [it]. It's a bit of change.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

知道Pink Floyd這個團是在幾年前看的電影花神咖啡館裡面的"Breathe"這首歌，後來發現他們的歌我太愛了，彷彿讓我抽了煙，舉酒澆愁愁更愁。

先放我應該是最具知名度的歌，收錄在1975年發行的專輯《Wish You Were Here》。

以下根據SONGFACTS　擇最前面的兩則翻譯（如翻譯有誤敬請告知）

1.This song is about the detached feeling most people go through life with. David Bowie - Five Years

從法國電影Réparer les vivants（Heal the Living）的片尾聽到這首歌，很喜歡這部電影，也很喜歡這首歌。再次感受這首歌之後，便更了解了電影想傳達的意境，五年說長不長、說短不短，如果地球只剩五年，你會做什麼？

收錄在《The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars》這張專輯的第一首曲目，當時流傳著一則消息：因資源耗竭，地球將在五年內毀滅。大衛鮑伊在1971年選擇給自己五年作為期限，去追尋自己的夢想，當時他的父親告訴他只剩五年的壽命了，他不應該再飛了。（must never fly again我了解的不多實在不知道是指什麼）

由Francis Whately所導演的David Bowie紀錄片名稱也叫做Five Years(2013)，貌似紀錄了大衛鮑伊最精彩的五年，有機會我一定要看看。

沒專業背景自行翻譯，網路上的資料顯示，原來這首歌是松任谷由實悼念一名罹患肌肉萎縮症，最後在高中時自殺的國小同學所作出的曲子

難怪聽起來是那麼悲傷，卻又能感到其中蘊含的溫柔。彷彿是祝福他，也覺得他自由了，可以在天空飛了。

PV運用光暈、八厘米的風格拍攝，與YUKI在不知在何處的荒涼鄉野散步、追憶失去的時光這樣的歌詞中的意境非常的匹配。

只要在街頭聽見有人放GLOBE的歌，情況許可我就會駐足把整首聽完，然後看看老闆或店員幾眼，彷彿想傳達著什麼似的，也許只是想輕快的擊掌呢！
